1. Cross-genera SSR transferability in cacti revealed by a case study using Cereus (Cereeae, Cactaceae)
Abstract The study of transferability of simple sequence repeats (SSR) among closely related species is a well-known strategy in population genetics, however transferability among distinct genera is less common. We tested cross-genera SSR amplification in the family Cactaceae using a total of 20 heterologous primers previously developed for the genera Arioca

3. Caracterização e delimitação do genero Micranthocereus Backeb : (Cactaceae) baseadas em caracteres morfologicos e moleculares
Micranthocereus Backeb. is a genus of Cactaceae endemic to Brazil and inc1udes nine species distributed in the states of Minas Gerais, Bahia, Goiás and Tocantins. The goals of the present study were to investigate the monophyly of the genus based on morphological and macromolecular characters and its relationships to the members of the tribe Cereeae; to inv

4. Crystal Morphology and 13Carbon/12Carbon Composition of Solid Oxalate in Cacti 1
Morphology, crystal structure, and carbon isotopic composition of calcium oxalate from representative species from the family Cactaceae were determined using scanning electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, and isotope ratio mass spectrometry. Crystals from one species in the Opuntieae tribe of the Cactaceae were druses with acute points composed of the mono
