1. Interfacial bond-slip relationship between Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Plate and Concrete after High Temperature of Asphalt Paving Construction
Abstract The bond-slip relationship of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) plate-concrete after the influence of high temperature action of Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) paving was investigated in this article. Two groups of double shear specimens with different bonding length were designed and tested. Based on the test results, the failure modes of specimen

2. Strain-deformation Reconstruction of Carbon Fiber Composite Laminates Based on BP Neural Network
The Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) laminate structural components used in the aerospace and military domains require high precision and strong stability. Usually the deformation of these structural components is difficult to be measured directly during operation, but the deformation of the CFRP laminate structure can be reconstructed with strain info

3. An Anchorage System for Enhanced Bond Behavior between Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer Sheets and Cracked Concrete
Abstract The contribution of CFRP wraps, as an anchorage system, to enhancing bond behavior between CFRP sheet and cracked concrete, was investigated. Thirty six concrete blocks (150 x 150 x 200 mm) were cast with 3ϕ12 mm steel bars embedded laterally at different spacing along the 200-mm-dimension. Half of the moist-cured blocks were subjected to a cyclic

5. Analyses of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with CFRP under bending: theorical and computational approaches

6. Flexural Strengthening of Reinforced Concrete Beams Using Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) Sheets with Grooves
Abstract The most common method used to strengthening, rehabilitation or repairing of reinforced concrete (RC) members is to use external carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets. CFRP can greatly improve the flexural and shear capacity of deteriorated members and therefore extends their useful life. The main problem of external CFRP is the debonding of

8. Análisis comparativo de las propiedades mecánicas de un material compuesto reforzado con fibras de carbono y las de su matriz polimérica de resina epóxica
ABSTRACT In recent years composite materials have been developed for different applications in engineering areas. This paper first presents the tensile properties of a polymer, in this case an epoxy resin, to be used as the matrix of a fiber reinforced composite material. A study of the mechanical properties is presented, which was carried out by performing

9. Strength analysis of composite cables
Abstract Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) cables, due to their outstanding performance in terms of specific stiffness and strength, are usually found in civil construction applications and, more recently, in the Oil & Gas sector. However, experimental data and theoretical solutions for these cables are very limited. On the contrary, several theoretica

10. Layer-by-Layer technique employed to construct multitask interfaces in polymer composites
Abstract The properties of glass fiber-reinforced polymer composites are closely related to the fiber-matrix interface. Interfacial treatments to improve mechanical properties are usually limited to enhance interfacial adhesion. In this work, Layer-by-Layer (LbL) technique was introduced to build a novel interface in polymer composites. Different numbers of

11. Mechanical Characterization of Basalt and Glass Fiber Epoxy Composite Tube
The application of basalt fibers are possible in many areas thanks to its multiple and good properties. It exhibits excellent resistance to alkalis, similar to glass fiber, at a much lower cost than carbon and aramid fibers. In the present paper, a comparative study on mechanical properties of basalt and E-glass fiber composites was performed. Results of app

12. Tensile properties of novel carbon/glass hybrid thermoplastic composite rods under static and fatigue loading
ABSTRACT Novel carbon/glass hybrid thermoplastic composite rods have been developed consisting of a PAN-based carbon fiber, an E-glass fiber, and a thermoplastic matrix. Three types of hybrid rods with different carbon/glass ratios were then fabricated. The surface and cross-sectional morphologies of the hybrid rods were observed using a digital microscope.
