RESUMO

The present paper aims at understanding the living and survival of social groups by discussing daily life. More specifically, the social group investigated resides in Jardim União da Vitória district, on the outskirts of Londrina - PR, Brazil. Based on the notion of precary inclusion , I try to demonstrate the way in which the residents of this district live experiences that show the very pragmatism concerning daily life in the struggle for survival. In this sense, analysis of daily life on a critical perspective contributes to the comprehension of a process which defines the production and reproduction of social and geographical segregation in cities.
