RESUMO

The main goal of this thesis is to present a theoretical study about the concept of continuing educational programs. For doing that, the analysis has being taken by using a documental and bibliographical research involving concepts, programs, legislation and important methodologies in use nowadays by Brazilian institutions. Through those studies and participatory action research over many continuing educational programs, and regarding the last cultural transformations, this work aims to investigate the continuing educational programs particularities in nowadays schools. The goal of this work is to discover if the continuing educational programs demand new approaches, regarding it#s completely different characteristics from other programs. The final results stress that the academic importance of this work is to give the learning process new epistemological tools, as well as to point out the role of the university in the contemporary world.
