RESUMO

The main objective of this research was the evaluation of different methods employed in landslide risk analysis and the application of a methodological proposal of landslide risk evaluation based on terrain evaluation techniques. These techniques present an approach of integrated geoenvironmental factors and have the purpose of contributing to the prevention and mitigation of such risks and also to the environmental management of coastal regions. The methodology of landslide risk evaluation was applied by the use of GIS SPRING, in a test area in the Ubatuba municipality, SP. The analyzed attributes and parameters related to landslides were: declivity, slope forms, degree of erosion, alignment density, unconsolidated material and water disponibility. Among the considered factors for the landslide susceptibility analysis, it was observed that the declivity has a major influence followed by the slope form and by the degree of erosion. The map of susceptibility to landslides obtained express the natural terrain potential in developing these processes. The map of landslide danger represents the occurrence probability of the process related to the terrain susceptibility, to the induction potential of land use and to the probability of occurrence of rain considered critical for the landslide deflagration. In this work the risk was considered a function of danger, vulnerability and potential harm. The produced map of landslide risk indicates the expected levels of social and economic harm in case a process is observed. In the final evaluation of risk it was considered the population as risk element, therefore this analysis only considered the inhabited areas.
