RESUMO

The present study investigates, through a case study, if the technological resources introduced by the Project Digitando o Futuro (Project Typing the Future) have contributed to improve the pedagogical practice of teachers working in Curitiba Public Schools, in the State of Paraná. Participated in this study principals, coordinators and teachers from 10 municipal schools. The main criterion used for choosing the participating institutions was: educational institutions which use computer technology resources in their classrooms and have participated in the Project Digitando o Futuro for more than 2 years. The research also included an investigation on teacher preparation and behavior concerning the use of the knowledge process helping tools, as well as conceptualized educational technology and its related subjects. The research methodology chosen to carry out the case study was: field research with quantitative and qualitative data collection through individual interviews and questionnaires. Data Indicate that there were pedagogical, educational and technological improvements concerning both students and teachers. It also showed the need of continued research to devise where the use of technology in the education process will lead us.
