RESUMO

In this work we study the observational viability of a cosmological model with vacuum-matter interaction, where the cosmological term is proportional to the Hubble parameter. Type Ia supernovae tests are performed with four diferent samples, from which we conclude that this model fits well the data, leading to an estimative of the current matter density parameter higher then the standard model one, but within the limits from galaxy dynamics and gravitational lensing observations. According to our analysis, the universe has its expansion accelerated and is older then the oldest observed objects. Just as in the spatially flat standard model, the SNLS sample gives the best fit. Results from the standard analysis of the cosmic microwave background radiation and baryon acoustic oscillations allowed us to indirectly test the present model, and the joint analysis of the three tests indicates that this model is not only theoretically attractive but has also a good concordance with these observations.
