RESUMO
Different forms of the use of natural resources have changed and still change the environment, in favor of the modernity praised by production in the capitalistic system. The global process (the advance of techniques, science and information) change the forms of the use of soil and consequently, create tendencies and new forms to obtain profit in the rural area. In the field this process give genesis to new rural, it functions as an agglutinative value of feelings, education, culture, economy, and environment. Therefore, the new rural extended the use of soil and opened new forms of its utilization and not only agricultural. These different forms of the use of soil vary from dividing the land to new house projects and residential closed condominiums to fishing farms (pesque-pagues) and rural tourism. These activities that preferably involve direct contact with nature, make it possible for farmers to gain profit and realize the need to care for the environment. These new functions created in the rural area praise mainly a return to the origins, the contact with nature and originated new forms of land occupation and farm income - the multi-activities - are one of the most feasible and possible ways for the survival and familiar reproduction in the rural area.
