RESUMO

The objetive of this work is to study a Frontal Syndrome case (a light one) from the linguistic point of view. That means, raise the linguistic symptoms concerning this syndrome, giving the possibility of arguing in favor of a semantic-pragmatic aphasia. The Frontal Syndrome has always been conceived as one syndrome that alters mainly the behavior, by the existing literature. The aphasia definition we use is: "Aphasia is a disturbance on the significance process where there are changes on one of the linguistic levels, with effect on others" (Coudry and Possenti, 1993). It is based on a language theory discursively oriented, that is, a theory where the significance processes depend on several factors to be determined, as the interlocutor speaking, the ideas contained on the titles, on what is pressuposed or implicit on them, on what can or cannot be said, on how the interlocutors organize their speech. The language concept, understood here as action, as creative and constitutive processes, which organize the experiences could change the view we have about the pathology and about linguistic factors involved, which make it different from the behavior problems as the tradicional neurolinguistc literature. To achieve that, I make use of a language theory discursivety oriented as proposes Franchi (1976); Possenti (1986/87); Geraldi (1990/91); Coudry(1986/88). Therefore, this work investigates through the linguistic cognitive analyzis, the significance process altered in patients with damaged brains, and the way with which they could overcome those difficulties, helped by therapeutic evaluation and intervention
