RESUMO

The purpose of this work is to analyze the semantic processes that guide the production of textual meaning as well as the linguistic and extralinguistic elements that help construct the meaning and interact in the discursive scope. By means of newspaper and magazine headlines, cartoons and advertisements, this work aims to describe some semantic processes analyzing, for instance, polysemic terms, synonyms, antonyms and the semantic fields. Moreover, we intend to describe the linguistic and extralinguistic elements which form the speech, such as: the context, language implicits, polyphony and intertextuality. Investigating the semantic-pragmatic aspects of language, taking into account their origins and properties besides their applicability in the communication process, we intend to make a more comprehensive study of this Linguistics field: Semantics, here from a discursive perspective.
