RESUMO

Enclosed in field of Discourse Analysis (DA), this dissertation focuses on certain dimension which is the analysis of the discourse of the Catholic Church about sexuality. For that purpose three chapters were delimited. The first establishes a discussion on the" notion of discourse. In what concerns to the three regions that configure the epistemological pattem of the DA set by Pêcheux, the discussion about some aspects of the theory of discourse and the theory af subjectivity af psychoanalytical nature, which crosses the regions, have been priviliged. For this purpose, although controversial, a relationship between Lacan, Foucault and Pêcheux, seem to be possible on what concerns to the status of notions such as structure, discourse and discoursive formation. Priviliging some aspects the second chapter analyses and correlates specific corpora of the Catholic Church: contemporany papal documents; biblical readings by the primitive fathers, specially Ambrose; reading and religious medieval subject; discourse and pleasure in the mystícs. To discuss elements of what has been called the history of the western sexuality, which mixes up in a mutual relationship with the christian morality. An effort has been done to comprehend the discursive movement and the language operation determined of some practices, and in this aspect to add some aspects in the tipological characterization of the religious discourse and specifically the theological discourse. The third chapter brings the theory of subjectivity of psychoanalytical nature for discussion. The structural concept of the subject of desire. The unconscious as a field that cuts and crosses this discourse on sexuality from the religious view point. The chapter discusses then, Freud and Lacan, some fie!ds like religion, sexuality, desire, subject and language.
