RESUMO

This work surround areas of sciences of Communication and Information and its target is to explore the interdisciplinary dimension of the collaboration concept scientific. The interdisciplinary scientific knowledge profile was studied from detections of collaboration networks based in articles published in co-authored in scientific journals by researchers related with Brazilian Federative Universities. To identify how these networks are structured we used bibliometric indicators between 1997 and 2007. The search criteria adopted was the publish time in indexed journals from Capes as Qualis and/or International Institute for Scientific Information as Web of Science to collect the articles that integrate the sample. The methodology went further than day-to-day techniques in bibliometric analysiss adopting social networks analysis resources to evaluate the interdisciplinary collaboration level. The detection of system networks into federative universities reached the scientific works of nearly 57 Ufes (Federative Universities) filtering initially 16.483 of authored registers which 2.119 were detected as the co-authored. The results show that, apart of new technologies facilitated approach between scientific communities, the geographic proximity between institutions still prevail until 2007 as a crucial factor to establish interdisciplinary collaborative networks.
