RESUMO

The field of the entrepreneurship could be considered as being the area of study of the entrepreneur. However, this study passes for several connotations regarding his profile. To be create a new theory about the entrepreneurship, probably will be necessary to separate a theoretical research of applied research, creating a new science, the entreprenology. This new science could create a theoretical body come from convergent studies of many entrepreneurship authors, with their applications in many different disciplines. The entreprenology, in another words, analyzes the activities, characteristics, social and economical effects and the methods of support used for facilitated the expression of enterprising activity. This group of characteristics has been studied in many professionals formations; including the engineering, economy, administration, and so on. In the meantime the psychology has its origin in the philosophy (MILLER, 1962) and in psychoanalysis of medicine and psychology, the study of the entrepreneurship arise of almost always of the humans and managerial sciences. The researches about entrepreneurship quote theoretical as much as practical elements. as observances. Whichever the definition used in entrepreneurship run the risk of disagreement, because the scientific study is recent and lack consistent and scientific definitions. Can be observed this aspect in the Cochran (1968) definition, when he maintains that for the economists, particularly, the entrepreneur is a kind of incongruity of an human element that can not be measured in a theoretical structured. Starting from a series of thoughts of different authors, leaning on Filion (1999), we can identify at least 5 schools that bring different approuches about the entreprenology: The economical school, the behavioral school, the physiological school, the positive functional school and the school of cognitive mapping. We do not suggest only the individual analysis about each approaching, but is important identify each ones, seeking to improve and inter- connect the proposed studies. The present paper concentrated in the report of the five schools of entrepreneur study and in the identification of more common characteristics in the entrepreneur from restaurants in Balneário Camboriú according to the behavioral school and the positive functional school. The methodology adopted to identify those characteristics include a research field with thirty-two entrepreneurs from restaurants in Balneário Camboríu adopting the questionnaires utilized for Miner, for the positive functional school and for McClelland, representing the behavioral school. The results show that, for the sampling considered, the stronger characteristic in the positive functional school is the Super seller, where the entrepreneur is constantly related with the market. In the behavioral school, the predominance is the compromising characteristics, Establishment of Goals and Independence, and self-confidence, showing that entrepreneur has a necessity being close of the business administration. The conclusions represent the necessity of an integrated analyze of the schools to have better understanding of the entrepreneur profiles, allowing studies more scientific in the field of entreprenology
