Pensando o ensino do futuro com perspectivas humanizadoras : a engenharia civil como pretexto

RESUMO
In this work, we study the academic profession in the civil engineering schools scertified to delineate perspectives going beyond the civil engineering itself, trying to enhance how to articulate the aspects of a humanistic, social and holistic view in the strutural models of these schools, so that the formation of naw profassionals (who may become future academics) is based on new visions of the world, full of new concepts in social working relation terms and aptitude of the activities of the cia! engineering in the social-economic and cultural context. Through qualitative research based in analysis of the socia! representations of teachers and -- of High Level Institutions classified A grade in the 2.000 s National Courses Exam (NCE) and substantiated by the ?Collective Discourse of Subject? (CDS) methods the collected data show the dissociation existence between what teachers think that is necessary to the improvement of the education and the actions taken by the State through the new LDB and the Curricular Directives, especially about the fragmented and partial curricular structures and the absence of non technicai contents, suggesting the formation of a crises in the educational paradigm in effect. The problem reaches not only the profession itself but above a!i the elaboration (construction) of the civil engineer knowledge, leading to risks of rupture that will result in undoubted lost in the power of exchange to such professionals, from schools based in this model, delineated not through the society but through the bureaucratic structure that, taking control of the country?s education, began to use the ENC as s legitimate tool, while started to manage the transposition of the high level education to a ?operational univerersity model, chfining deep changes on time, contents and pedagogic procedures, pursuant to the production law. Therefore, there is an urge to implant a new creative process concept in the En- gineering formation, to transform it in a pole of teaching quality focused on the society s requests long forgotten, in which the man, not the techniques wit! be the decisive source of values where the basis of the educational planning shall enhance the ?optimal human development? and no longer be centered in the maximum productivity
