RESUMO

With the objective to enable and to stimulate the enterprising potential of its beneficiary, the Project of Qualification and Generation of Income, Cultural Fronts, is considered to value the local culture, specifically the handicraft, characterizing the traditions detected in the city to incorporate a contingent of the population reached for the Drought into the work market. The main question evidenced in this research is the importance of Entrepreneurship for the process of the â Integrated and Sustainable Local Developmentâ based in the previous success of a case happened at the Ilha do Ferro community in PÃo de AÃÃcar/AL where the perceptions of the cited authors result in a great achievement. Initially, the Project (1998) had as partners the Superintendence of Development of Northeast â SUDENE, the Council of the Solidary Community â CCS, the National Program of Generation of Income â PRONAGER and the United Nations for the Education, Science and the Culture Organization â UNESCO, what it allowed, with the indispensable support of Not Governmental Organizations â ONGs, to carry through innovative actions of qualification, supported in âlocal knowledgesâ. With the partnership extended in company of the Brazilian Service of Support to the Micron and Small Companies â SEBRAE â (since 1999), social individuals had been enabled and stimulated to the formation of Cooperatives and qualification of the product, with training in the area of trade, price and cost. This research can affirms that the capital subject of the Entrepreneurship is to generate the âIntegrated and Sustainable Local Developmentâ linked to the capacity of a community to be the own author of the processes of necessary changes to its growth and the access of all the population to the acquired wealth. To create with pleasure, to reverence your beliefs and to believe in your potential. All that is to go very much beyond the utility of the things, is creating beauty, even though without perceiving. The Program obtained, evidenced through field research, to reach the rescue of self-esteem and citizenship with the improvement of the quality of life of its beneficiaries
