RESUMO
Easy is to notice the media over the issues related to the new communication networks, the so called "Highway Information". This subject is now under major public attention and this work s aim to show: How the Internet can be useful to the organizations and in which conditions they are able use this new tool, in order to develop new products and improve market opportunities. - What is already working today and can be explored on the net, showing examples of companies that are using the new concept. - A short envisioning exercise introducing unexplored business opportunities. - What is said to be available, but still does not seem to be effectively operational. This work s purpose is to add some information in the understanding process of the Internet phenomena, trying to figure out its development s real consequences both in the organizations as in the society as a whole. Briefly, is this work s objective to determine the Internet real use possibilities, how it is being used today and how it is going to be used in the future.
