RESUMO

Moral harassment is a phenomenon that manifests in the world of contemporary work, although it always has existed in the context of job relations. It is conceived through a repetitive and harmful acts that affect the moral of the worker and can inflict damage to their health. This study analyzed the occurrence of the Moral harassment in the Military Policy of State of Bahia - PMBA, and its main consequences to the Corporation. This dissertation claims that Organizational factors contribute to the increase of the harassment and associate their causes with the burn out pervading job places and affecting employee relations. A descriptive research is used as a base for a study case. This study case was developed in a public-military job context and analyzed in a two related stages. In the first stage, a data-collecting investigation was realized through a bibliographic and documentary research. Its findings provided a theoretical study and a deep and critical understanding of PMBA Corporation Culture. In the second stage, an empirical approach was chosen from the study of five illustrative cases of Moral harassment that took place in the Military Police of State of Bahia. All the cases have been selected from a list of fifty cases obtained from the Military Auditorship, the Common Justice and the Military Meeting of Health. The internal repercussion of the employee harassment, the intensity of the psychoemotional burn out suffered from employees, the availability of information in the organization and the access to the involved ones were used as a criteria and base for selection. Besides that, documents probation have been scrutinized and interviews have been conducted with the parts involved. The findings have pointed that the corporation culture of the Military Policy of the State of Bahia, known as Military service of Brave", congregates elements that can constitute a stimulation for a Moral harassment environment such as the public military character of their activities, the inadequate conditions of their work, the psycho-emotional consuming and the inexistence of activities regulation, bringing negative consequences to a job routine. Finally, due to the results obtained from this research and the limits of this inquiry, it is suggested that a further study should be applied so a broaden perspective can be developed.
