RESUMO
This paper has started from the eighteen pieces called Livro das Duas Meninas, of the Brasilian composer Almeida Prado. It develops one first approach with micro, middle and macroanalysis of musical structures. So, it is possible to understand the composer s language and the general organization in the aspects of pitch, rythm, dynamic, timbre and texture. At the end of this part, it concludes by grouping the pieces in five cycles, according with the resources that have been practiced. This analysis prepares, then, to a second approach, an expansion of the piano at the instruments: clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, drums, violin, bass and vibraphone.
