O catolicismo juvenil e o espírito do tempo: discursos religiosos de estudantes de um colégio católico

RESUMO
This research addresses the experience of some young people with religion and in particular, with Catholicism. Analyzing their speeches, asked the meaning of their beliefs and their process of choosing their own religion. It appears that the characteristics of the present time constitute a "spirit of time" that interferes directly in the relations. Using the theory of Zygmunt Bauman among liquid modernity, reflect about the emancipation of the subjects that uprooted from producing traditional structures of meaning (Church and family), can confer meaning to religiosity from the subjective experience. The methodology used to gather data based on qualitative perspective went the technique of focus groups. The survey was conducted with a group of 6 young people, aged between 15 and 16 years, middle-class, who study at a religious college s traditional south area of the city of Sao Paulo. We support data from focus groups with the results of the implementation of questionnaires answered by 187 students of that college
