Nova tecnica de processamento de sinais no dominio do tempo de giroscopios interferometricos de Sagnac a fibra optica

RESUMO

This work focuses on the study of a new time domain signal processing technique of Sagnac interferometric fiber optic gyroscopes. The technique consists in demodulating the output signal of the interferometer to obtain the rotation rate W and to monitor both the optical phase modulation depth m f and the incident power level 0 P , by measuring the dc value and the ac negative peak values of the photocurrent generated in the photodetector. A signal processor was developed to test the signal processing scheme in the demodulation of the rotation rate measured by a laboratory model of a high grade gyroscope. The experimental results showed a resolution and scale factor stability performance comparable to those of a comercial high resolution lock-in amplifier. This work has greatly contributed to the development of future advanced processors of the output signal of this kind of sensor for application in strapdown inertial navigation system at IEAv.
