RESUMO

The present study, of partner-educational stamp, had as objective verifies which are the employed evaluation methods in Physical Education, in Fundamental Teaching. He tried to identify the existent relationship between the theory and the practice that involving the teaching process and learning about evaluation propitiated by the teachers to the students. We tried to verify as the teachers of Physical Education of Fundamental Teaching they define what is evaluation, which the methods that use to evaluate your students, with that frequency they are appraised among other subjects that one find gone back to the thematic. The education theoretical referencial this based in specialists that try to discuss evaluation in a critical and sociological perspective, in order to accomplish a bridge among authors that work the same thematic in physical education. We presented a discussion involving the first two Guidelines and Bases Laws - GBLs, that were already revoked and that defined the guidelines of the education in Brazil n°s: 4.024/61 and 5.692/71, and also current GBLs no. 9.394/96, besides the resolutions of the Federal Council of Physical Education - FCFE, Regional Council of Physical Education - RCEF and the National Curricular Parameters - NCPs, referring to Physical Education. The subjects involved in this research were 14 physical Education Teachers, that teach in the Fundamental Teaching, of 5th to 8th series, in the net it publishes state of the Campinas city. The work was delimited in 10 (ten) schools, that were chosen in an aleatory way, being 05 (five) of East s Management Education and 05 (five) of the West, distributed so that they contemplated the areas east and west, north and south of the city. The instruments of collection of data were glimpsed, a protocol with open and closed subjects, answered by the teachers and the plannings elaborated by them. The results of the investigation made possible to trace a profile of the evaluation methods used by the teachers in Physical Education and the analysis of the data they provided to verify which is the understanding that they have so much about the evaluation in the theoretical part as practice, besides supplying conditions the multiple functions that the evaluation can assume mainly as control mechanism and exclusion to discuss, opening possibilities for reflection on the practice of the evaluation, providing important elements for eventual inferences in the evaluation practices, mainly in Physical Education
