RESUMO

In this moment in which the Speech Pathology tries to reflect about- its actuation, a study that focuses in the drawing s activity in the developement of language is considered opportune, since it is one of the ways of representing, naming and giving meanings to aspects of the dialogical reality. The drawing can indicate the rnultiple ways that the child uses to register perceptions, knowledge, emotions, imagination and memory in the development of a kind of social interaction, appropriate to his/her psychic, historic and cultural conditions. The objective in this study is to analyze the complexity of the dynamical process of construction /production of the drawing in the therapeutical speech pathologycal s context, and also to understand the drawing as a syrnbolic sphere of language that can interfere in the upper psychological functions. The rnethodological interest is the use of assumptions of the naturalistic-observational approach and of an indicational paradigm, beginning with its articulation with the historical-cultural theory, using the microgenetics analyzes. In a quality way, an 8-year-old subject is analyzed. He is part of a therapeutic group (composed of live children) that he had appointrnents weekly in 26 ninety-rninute speech pathology s sessions, for nine months. The activities developed in the sessions were: drawing productions, fairy tales readings and child literature texts, production of written texts, as well as games and plays. The results show that the drawing has a rneaningful role in the dialogical activities, contributing to the development of language, being able to become an important therapeutic elernent in the speech pathology clinic.Drawing, favored by mediations, can be a resource that makes the development of language, the constitution of subjectivity and the construction of knowledge, specially for subjects that have difficulties and/or limitations in the spheres of the symbolical activities of the language
