Laser de argonio excitado por descarga tipo theta-pinch

RESUMO
In spite of theta-pinches have been widely used in controlled nuclear fusion research,by the best of our knowledge, such kind of device has never been used as excitation method for active media of lasers. In the present work, we described the project of a theta-pinch, in which a resonante cavity was installed, in order to transform it in a laser device. Argon gas was used as active media. Spectroscopic and electrical features were measured. Tipical 40 kA peak curret were found. Three times ionized argon was detected. Argon laser line at 476,5 nm was observed to have a 25 times more intense peak than equivalent spontaneous emission.Grafics and tables show our exprimental results. This work also includes theoretical introduction and the device s built project. Theory was used to justify many practical procedures used during the project
