RESUMO
The purpose of this study was to understand the feelings and the meanings established among the body of schools and Tijuca Nacional Park which is situated in Rio de Janeiro city. That body of schools is composed by three public schools in the boundaries of the Unit of Conservation (UC). The study in Geography of Perception whith philosophical fundamentation in the phenomenology understands that the perception produces the behavior so the geographic investigation presented here starts from the subjective analyses of the lived experiences. The subjectivities are constructed in daily life where the conflicts are inevitable. The results of the research point to the singularities constructed historically by each individual in his/her context, besides this, each body of school has its look and its perception of the forest landscape. They point to an identification of E.M. Diogo Feijó and its forest boundary where a sense of belonging and familiarity whith the place is observed. By the other hand, the feelings and perceptions diagnosed in E.M. Matta Machado are presented in a confused way because the limit (government intervention) which separates the UC and the community removed the residents from their daily experiences in the forest. Therefore, the boundary of the UC is becoming strange and far from the relation established in the school environment. In E.M. Menezes Vieira the environment is not noticed as the community does not identify itself with the place since its daily experiences do not include the external environment of the school as several live for away form the school. In face of the multiplicities of relation, identification and Knowledge about the surrounding of the school units new Knowledge and acknowledgement become necessary in order to reinterpret the lived reality. The real knowledge of the landscape passes by new readings, remeanings and the construction of new values aiming the conservation of PNT through the democratic process of dialog and exchange of knowledge developed by the practices of Environmental Education involved with the place. The effective actions of inclusion of the environment knowledge in the pedagogic experiences of the schools will comprehend the Environmental Education Center of Tijuca Nacional Park CEAMP which aims to provide a collective space for the construction of new reflections and perceptions searching, this way the valorization and conservation of Tijuca Nacional Park.
