Interesses fisicos no lazer : a influencia do esporte de alto rendimento para a criança na relação lazer-escola-processo educativo

RESUMO

Some papers point out the fact that high performance sport plays the role of model for others sportive manifestations, both for children and adults, at leisure and school. Therefore, the objective of this research was to understand the process through which high leveI sport became the model of physical activity for children. The main idea that led the investigation was that this type of sport fits in a rationality that gives much emphasis to prepare children to adult life rather than give them the oportunity to live their present moment as kids, having as main consequence the maintainance of the actual social order, contributing to steal the ludic component away of their culture. The method of research is a combination of comparative and historical procedure, trying to link the literature that deals with the transition of the "traditional society" and "modern society", and its influence to the pragmatism found in sports nowadays. This option is justified by a great number of researches dealing with this transition, particularly the topic conceming the gradual absence of the ludic component of culture, regardless the age approached. Nevertheless, the emphasis given in this paper is directed to understand this process with children. It was possible to verify, through this approach, a strong link among precocious practice of sports, childhood feeling and social moralization, contextualized as a product of the process of industrialization, that substituted the "old way of life" of the "tradicional society" by the need of performance and results, at the different "spheres" of our lifes, such as work and leisure, induding physical activity, specially sports. As a consequence, it is deserved to the child that practices sports the preparation to the future, specially as another customer of the "Cultural Industry".We could verify this process both at leasure and school physical education. At these two spheres, it is possible to find a pyramid as structure, where at the bottom we have all children at school age and, for granted, at the top, only the ones that reach a very high leveI performance. As a consequence of this research, the author understands that there is an urgent need of a new sport pedagogy, based on the leisure-school-educational process tripod, where it seems there are some "breaches" for the building of a new social order
