RESUMO

The work had as objective identify the use of management instruments in car industries in Brazil, in its process of the company management. In this way done a descriptive empirical study, similar to survey, developed with quantitativety and perspective of approach of tranversal and longitudinal court. The population comprehend 25 companies filial to National Association of Manufactures Vehicles Automobile, and the sample by accessibility constitutes itself of 13 companies. The instrument of research used was the questionnaire containning closed questions. The datas were subjected to a descriptive analyst, with the use of statistical tools, having as tecnic descriptive statistics. This research is in the line of management control research of Post Graduation program in accountant of the Regional University of Blumenau. The results of this research show that all the management instruments were used in the period of 2000 to 2006 are being used, and exist expectation to utilise, by car industries in Brazil, even in limited character, except the equilibrium point wich was not used for none researched industry by the year 2002. Talking about the level of satisfaction the terms involving, of performance, financial results, performance capacity of long delay, competitive position and organizational integration, the more suitable instrument was by managemental costs
