RESUMO

The runnofI in the fimn is the serious problem in the river pollution. Generally, the fanns use the sprinlder irrigation, however the V o-ater retum is still more. The runnoff transport from the river, pesticide and sediments too, changing the feature of the river. The present work had as an objective, to determine the degree of runnoff contribution of strawberry irrigation in the pollution of the river into relation parameters of water quality (pH, OD, Alkalinity, Hardness, Electrical Conductivity, Turbidity, Total Solids, Total Fixed Solids, Wastewater Suspended Solids, Fixed Solids, COD, BOD, Ammonia Nitrogen, Nitrate, Nitrite, Total Phosphorus). The research was realize in differents rivers at four farms locate in the region of Atibaia, the biggest producer of strawberries in the state of São Paulo and the irrigation system to used is the conventional sprirJder. 1t "" aS verifica te in the end of study, that some parameters had a significant increase during the monitoring period (electrical conductance, suspended solids, etc) is showing the potentiaJ of pol1ution of runnoff and is suggesting that the work this kind of eftluent should be monitoring for that not happen more problem in relation of aquatic biota
