RESUMO

Many environmental impacts were caused by the implantation of hydroelectric in Brazil among the decades of 50 and 80. In Sao Paulo State the great reservoirs add a superior area of 6.500Km2 of flooded areas, representing 2,6% of the surface of the State. The importance of that energy for the social and economical Brazilian s development is evident. However, the construction of great barrages and their reservoirs that aims for the man s social and economical benefits, it interferes in the environment, causing impacts. One of the principal environmental impacts refers to the alteration of the landscape of the margins for the induction of human activities that is linked with the presence of the reservoirs. Passed some years, this new landscape results in new impacts that, for your time, act about the quality of the water of the own reservoir. This is the case of the reservoir of Três Irmãos that, since your construction in November of 1993, it is suffering a great number of impacts, mainly in relation to the use and occupation of the earth. For this reason, this work intends to evaluate, to qualify and to quantify the types of current environmental impacts of human actions around the reservoir, which, in some way, changes your natural characteristics, decreasing your time of useful life. The identification and quantification of these impacts were accomplished, mainly, with the fieldwork where the impacts were mapped through GPS (Global Positioning System) and with the elaboration of thematic maps that were crossed through SIG (System of Geographical Information). The results allowed to make a relation of the types of impacts happened with the use type, pointing the elements induction of impacts and the real current impacts of the human interventions and of the characteristics of fragilities of the elements that compose the environment; around the reservoir.
