RESUMO

The Brazilian companies of Software increasingly seek to attract domestic and international markets, which are more competitive. The viable strategy is to invest in increasing quality and productivity. The focus of this work is to investigate relevant factors to measuring the Return on Investment (ROI) in the Process Improvement Software (MPS). The major workâs objective is to propose a framework consisting of phases based on the concepts of ROI Methodology, using indicators used by David Rich in ROI of SPI and a selection of measurements used to MPS. The stages are: Identification of the problem, detailed diagnosis; Estimated ROI; Implementation and Closing. For each phase, based on the GQM paradigm - Goal-Question-Metric measurement indicators were defined to monitor the progress of the framework. The first four phases follow the classic concept of the PDCA, which for each suggested solution to improve, analyze results and check if they are considered fully satisfactory, then move on to the stage of closure, or the cyclical process continues until the improve needs is satisfied. At the final phase the results achieved with the FROISPI will be presented to senior management. The experiment was performed on three separate organizations whose have different maturities, at the final the result was only the two organizations from the three, completed successfully the Frameworkâs use.
