RESUMO
This work presents a study of the dynamic behaviour of a semiconductor laser under small and large signal direct intensity modulation. A flat frequency response can be obtained in a bandwidth of around 1,5 GHz by using passive (suppressor filter) and an active (dual-gate FET) microwave device. The measured and modeled results are compared showing good agreement.
