RESUMO

With all the facilities that exist nowadays over the terrestrial globe, the vehicles which use inward combustion motors are the most common ways of transportation. Although, these kinds of vehicles are increasing so fast that they are becoming a problem to the human beings. This is happening because cars, trucks, tractors and others, have countless sources that produce a great quantity of noise. And if theyre not well controlled, they may cause damages to people. Because of that, laws are each time more and more strict. So that, cientists work with this useful and healthy way of transportation to turn it in benefit to the human beings. The purpose of this cientific work is focussed in the decreasing of the sound pressure caused by the inward combustion motors explosions, which noise and gases are in the direction of the exhaust dutos. They must have acoustic filters, known as muffers. So that, when the noise achieves the atmosphere, it must have an intensity that assists the laws and be berable to the humans ears. The globalization process is done. In order that, the possibilities to produce, in Brazil, exhaust systems, to the world, are big. This is happening because of the low cost of the labour and because of the price of the steel. Therefore, its so important to know the working of certains inward constructions, as knowing how constructive forms contribute us to reach a bigger earning (talking about sonorous loss). This is interesting because new projects and changes will have the same speed as the one demanded by the globalization. The twelve different models are part of the inward construction (the crumb) of an acoustic filter. There is a research of these thirteen different models, which have the purpose to contribute to the escapement manufacturers, in order to produce efficient, small and light acoustic filters with a low cost (and this is one of the most important claims made by the customers). This can turn escapement manufactures into more competitive people in the globalized world.
