RESUMO

In this work, the gravitational waves with cylindrical symmetry wich can be reduced to the Einstein-Rosen form are considered. From the non-null tetradic components of the Riemann-Cristoffel tensor associated to this metric we distinguish tree independent component which generate the others. A polynomial class of solutions for the correspondent cylindrical wave equation is studied. We analyse the independent tetradic components and the invariants of curvature for some elements of this class. We also analyse the concept of C-Energy in the context of the present work. We conclude that both definitions proposed are not applicable in this case
