RESUMO

In the state of Acre, Brazil, traditional fine and coarse grain aggregates are used. By the way, the concrete materials proportioning (of that region, as well as of all regions) aim to reach the better quality (strength, durability) instead of costs. This paper offers data for a rational concrete dosage using sand of the Rio Acre, granite aggregate from the state of Rondônia and Portland cement with carbonatic additives (CP II F 32). Due to the coast and large quantities of cement from, Rio Branco, capital the state of Acre, it has been studied the Portland cement substitution by a pozzolanic material obtained from a local clay. Characterization techniques as differencial thermical analysis (DTA), analysis thermo gravimetric (TA), X-Ray diffraction, flame atomic absorption spectrometry and chemical analysis, petrografic analysis of aggregates were, used as preliminary characterization. Forming and rupture of cylindrical specimens and the cement pozzolanic index determination in different mixtures with cement and chalk. Emphasis has been done to the study of that clay as possible, substitute of cement in conventional Rio Branco concrete.
