RESUMO

To make visible the discourses that permeate social interactions is a recurrent theme on Lars von Triersfilms. Locatedly, Iinvestigate how filmic spaces are constructed by the Danish director in order to create an environment of aesthetical and ideological combat. The segregation between insiders and outsiders, the ones that are emplaced or displaced is a central issue in the films. The main characters are all female and this directors choice ends up showing how social roles are built on a society made by historically and naturalized values, making visible, through cinema and its relation to other media, identity combats which areinherent to the world nowadays.
