The per capita income was statistically associated with the presence of anemia. Although the association between anemia and enteroparasitosis was not statistically confirmed, and, considering the very poor social conditions that the women from those communities are subjected, the need for control and prevention measures to protect those people is demonstrated, since the poor conditions certainly increase the risk of morbidity in those women.
