RESUMO

The present work aims at analyzing the multiple discursive productions regarding the power relationship yield by Morro Velho mine in Jacobina between 1980 and 1998, focusing on the labor that engendered silicosis, a disease caught by workers in the company`s underground. Thus the study looks at the way in which the discourses create meaning and shape the history of the events of the mine, the workers, and the disease
