RESUMO

The present study was to address the intention didactic-pedagogic training of the teaching of Higher Education. At the current juncture, education has been regarded as the most effective way of answering the changes caused by the growing process of globalization. Accordingly, the Higher Education is necessary for the lifting of Brazilian society to the changes, where the educator that level of education should monitor these changes and seek to upgrade; because they are the main agents of transformation that deal directly with the students seeking knowledge as desired. The teacher who was held prior to transmit content led to a new educator, which must first of all have the ability to generate this reflection and in their students. In an attempt to promote this aspect in educators, the LDB (law of lines of direction and bases) of 1996 brought many changes, among them the need for the Masters for these educators. But does the fact that an educator conduct a post-graduate qualifications in the prepares to be a teacher nowadays. Therefore, the objective of the study was to determine whether the post-graduate Strictu Senso actually rise and bring improvements to the social and education as a whole. Thus, a search was performed literature supported by authors who are seeking to examine education in the face of this new global scene, and indicators on the National Higher Education. And, seeking to know the teaching that level of education was also carried out a search of field through the histories of life of four teachers of Higher Education, considered by his equal and by his students as good educators. The interviews showed a bit of training these professionals, the identity of the educator and how they see their students. At the end of the study, the results point to the commitment of educators with the training of its students as one of the reasons for the success of these professionals. This commitment ally the ability of critical thinking gained during the course of post-graduate Strictu Senso, allows these educators help their students in their learning. This is because these educators through the Masters see the classroom in a holistic way, seeing not only students, but the whole context where they are inserted, and are able to show that to the students.
