RESUMO

This study is integrated with the research area of Teachers formation: teaching, learning and knowledge. It finds itself located in the field of media-education and aimed to investigate a media-educative practice with a radio. The research was carried on with a group of teenagers and is inserted in the non-formal education area. The radio program called Blecaute: sua parada técnica is an afoot project developed after the partnership between Colégio Técnico Industrial Prof. Mário Alquati and the Rádio Universidade, both linked to the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande.This study has as a starting point the language used in the radio, by a group of teenagers with ages between 13 and 17 years old, in the composition of a radio program that is part of the scheduling of the Rádio Universidade FM of Rio Grande (106,7 MHz).The objective of this investigation was to map out how the young participants of this program construct processes of critical appropriation of information and also to trace which meanings are attributed by this group to this media-educative experience.This project was structured from a case of study; the data was collected from the recording of the meetings of the studio programs and textual excerpts from the participants‟ homepages. A qualitative analysis of the results was held on. The results indicate a relation between information and knowledge in the construction of the consciousness‟ process, the valorization of the speaking space, of autonomy and the collective construction of knowledge by the youth.Education is considered a field of creation that promotes social change, in which the knowledge consolidation in social experience is the main condition for the learning quest, increased through the specific appropriation of radio and the Information and Communication Technologies ICT‟s, in general, by the agents of the educational process.
