RESUMO
The aim of this text is to investigate the phisico-moral disturbances named "eating disorders", among which "anorexia nervosa" and "bulimia nervosa" stand out, within the brazilian context, through an etnography carried out in the internet, based on the material produced by people who auto-identify themselves as eating-disordered persons. Starting ITom an anthropological perspective, the approach developed here privileges the relationship between these disorders and the cultura1lyspecific conceptions of personhood, body, embodiment and gender
