RESUMO

This researches has as it basic proposal the reading of the theatrical text "Calabar â O Elogio da TraiÃÃo", woven between 1972 and 1973, by Chico Buarque and Ruy Guerra , from three points of view: the creative process, the allegoric representations of the reality and the confrontation with the Federal Censorship. This triple reading is going to establish, as the title of the work indicates, a past/ present dialogue, understanding the piece like privileged historical document. Saying the truth, this work seeks to increase, from the analysis of the creative binomial and creature, not barely more a fragment of the history of theater, but of the own national history.
