RESUMO

This work develops a classification and codification system for aplication in rotational parts using Group Technology and Parametrics concepts, for parts family formation and aplication on process planning. The system considers the geometric forms and manufacturing characteristics of the parts like maximum external diameter, maximum internal diameter, tolerance, material, blank form, etc. for parts family formation. This characteristics provides the necessary process sheets information. The classification and codification system was developed in AutoLisp a linguage and uses the AutoCad R.12 software on SUN graphic station. This work is inserted in a CAPP project that is developed softwares for integration of CAD and CAM systems The objectives this work are the development and implementation of a Classification and Codification System which can supported the process plannig sheets formation by using informations coming directly of the CAD system, and to establish the characteristics for parts family formation
