Dengue em Londrina/Pr : políticas públicas de controle e prevenção a dengue a partir da população e dos agentes de saúde

RESUMO

This research, developed within the Geography Medic and of Health, aims to review and point the main actions that have been developed by local authorities to control Dengue and see if they have achieved their goals for conscious the population, effectively influencing the attitudes of each citizen in the control of the vector. For this reason, chose to work with the population and also with the health agents, who usually assumes the role of public power to the people. The cut space of this study is Basic Health Unit’s (UBS) area of coverage, located in the Villas Cabo Frio neighborhood, located in the northern city of Londrina. To develop this research were made bibliographical and data surveys of the Dengue situation in some countries as well in Brazil, the state of Paraná and the city of Londrina, through institutional websites. Subsequently, interviews were made with the Londrina’s AMSL endemic coordinator and the team of health agents responsible for the works to control the Dengue in the area. Questionnaires were also applied with the people in the area. The data analysis shows that the majority of the population is aware of the disease, however there is a need for monitoring and control for the minority that does not help with the care. Those peoples aware of the problem takes the necessary measures for prevention, but for some, fortunately the minority, the campaigns of awareness not only motivates them and respond to application of penalties; there are also those who need to be reminded of the problem and the need of care; and even those who do not worry about the problem as do not care about the issue. For these, the action of the public must be relentless, because it is a question that can affect the health of many people. For the problem be controlled, as occurred in other countries, it is necessary that the manager organ meets its responsibilities by performing all stages of planning control and prevention. One of these is the appreciation of the work of health agents.
