RESUMO

Body has been objetct an target of several studies nowadays and it is being estatus of privileged subject. This stud has as theme the corporeity fenomena and its aim is to identify body concepts wyhich are in school Phisical Education. It is divided into four chapters; in the first one we will approach the main concepts body has been assumed in west history, from ancient Greek people to the present and that, will make possible the corporeity fenomena understanding. In the second chapter we ll make a brief phisical education resume since ancient times - a historical period where it still didn t have been named "Phisical Education" - "Middle Age", until its appearing in the middle of the XVIII century, when it was a systemic and methodic practicing, its appearing in Brazil going throgh several tendencies during its history in our country and having its and whit a brief approach about the main tendencies in our days. In the third chapter we refer to the methodological instrumental of Laurence Bardin (1977) content analysis, and having the interview data gathering as an instrument, we took the testimony of 27 Phisical Education teachers. - In the fourth chapter, using elaborated indicators we built a table where the body concepts whch were found out in the testimony of City Education Network teachers from Uberlândia city-hall have been disposed into categories. Following, some considerations were made about found out results
