RESUMO

It is discussed in this dissertation the influences of the religious manifestation, particularly the Christian idelology from the two first centuries, on the human body, on that is supported by the Greek and Roman traditions and the Judaism. At first as a sacred temple, the body is appropriated by the culture and by the social organization, and it is reduced to the sexuality and intellect. The sexuality is an object of concern as much to the religion as to the psychoanalysis. The psychoanalysis theory is used as a discussion axle to the practice of the sexuality, and on the formation of the gender concept. The ties between gender and sexuality shape up the human relation, forcing the established identity in to the formed a plurality of body concepts mediated by the religion that legitimates practices of ritual exclusion on women. Therefore, favoring the establishement of misogyny on social relationships.
