RESUMO

This reseach built a model of Business Intelligence for controlling disclosure strategic information in one of the FIERGS System organizations: Serviço Social da Indústria (SESI-RS). The method of methodological search was used because it is an exploratory study of case, with an open participative observation, qualitative, developed from multiple sources of data, such as interviews, review of documents, systems manuals and informatics systems. It starts with the theoretical basis on strategic management, informational needs of executives and the role of controlling towards the real strategic organizational needs. It was made an alignment among the Balanced Scorecard (this tool is being applied in the studied organization), the Business Intelligence and controlling. After, it was analyzed subjects as Information Technology versus decision-making process. Finally, it was analyzed the Business Intelligence, its components and its benefits for the construction of the proposed model. Thus, based on the theoretical research, it was organized the model of Business Intelligence for controlling be able to disclosure strategic information. It was clear that the model of BI is an important tool for the decision-making process for the senior management of the studied company
