RESUMO
According to IDB, Brazilians emigrants send around $ 4.2 billions per year. But, at this moment, there is no academic research about this important topic. In this sense, the main purpose of this research is to know, on one hand, the volume, finality, and Brazilian remittent profile. On the other hand, to investigate how this money could impact local development, especially in Governador Valadares city.
