Compreensão, interpretação e legibilidade: processamento em apostilas do ensino fundamental

RESUMO

Over this work we were able to reflect upon processes underlying reading and the development of a capable reader, taking into account the approach adopted towards reading included in school books more specifically in brochuras which are mainly used in private schools, and searching the answer for the question: What is the approach given to the text and to the production of sense in reading activities proposed to 5thgrade students, which is the start of Junior High School? Our objective was to study topic such as comprehension, interpretation and text legibility and to verify how these books are worked on from the guidelines of Text Linguistics. Facing the complexity of the reading process we have admitted that the reader is only able to build the sense of the text, that is, reach comprehension upon the interaction of several levels of knowledge, such as linguistic, text and general knowledge, which are activated through reading. We have detected from the performed studies that the Portuguesa language brochuras designed for 5th Grade and which were used in private schools, in general, took into account both the cognitive and pragmatic focus in the interaction reader - text, however they did not clearly present the question of comprehension. We have Biso observed that although there is the concerning of such process, the act of understanding a text is limited to activities related to the knowledge of the language and information reproduction. It is the teacher s role to take advantage of the suggestions included in such material to create new strategies to support lhe student I reader in the construction of a reading course reaching text interpretation and comprehension
