Comportamento fluidodinamico do ciclone em diferentes geometrias

RESUMO

In this work, it was the cyclone geometry influence in this fluidynamics behavior. A mathematical model was developed to simulated the gas-particles flow in a cyclone, considering a two-dimensional turbulent gas-particle flow and using a continuum model for particle phase. The boundary conditions were considered the particles slipness on the cyclone wall. The Navier-Stokes equations were written in cylindrical coordinates. The numerical solution was obtained using SIMPLE algorithm. The results showed that fluidynamics behavior of the cyclone is strongly affected by geometry, influencing on the permanence time of the particles. While the angle decreases, the cylindrical part height increases and, mainly, as the diameter increases the permanence time of the particles increases, showing that the geometry should be modified begin conditioned on the use we would like to give the cyclone
