RESUMO

This ethical behavior of an enterprise that adheres to the Economy of Communion (EoC) has, as one of its goals, to invest part of its profits towards low income society classes, in order to combat social differences. This work is justified by the growing ethics relevance in the business world and the possibility of offering subsides to EoC itself. The main objective here is to analyze the ethical climate in Eco-ar Company, an economy of communion enterprise located at São Paulo, SP. This objective leads to a main question: to which extent ethics is a reality in EoC companies? In order to achieve the proposed goals, business ethics and ethicity level evaluation procedures are discussed in theory. This discussion is based on the moral historical background, which means that ethics is discussed along historical periods. The methodology included quali-quantitative research and field research (descriptive with a case study) through interpretative content analysis and observation, in addition to structured and non-structured interview. Based on the analysis of the indicators proposed by the considered theoretical model used to measure the business ethnicity degree, it is inferred that Eco-ar has a satisfactory ethicity level, reaching an average value of 5.9. Some questions regarding the real climate of the business ethics utilization in EoC are pointed out, since the results here shown, highlight how difficult is to measure a company ethical climate. The current models approach quantitative aspects and exclude procedures that would lead to details of the situation.
