RESUMO

The thesis : Capoeira Angola and Afro Dancing: contributions to a multicultural education policy in Bahia was developed by the Research and Post Graduation Program in Education at Federal University of Bahia, in the Political Education and Management research line. It aims at the study of Capoeira Angola and the Afro Dancing, its pedagogical actions as a means of education, profissionalism and formation.The option for this theme is due to my affinity,insertion and testifying through the pedagogical practice of the present values on the body expressions which reveal a way of being,of living and creating translating the afrodescendent cultural history linked to cultural centers and to Brazils black movement. The understanding of the problem relating to the studied object has verified how the content and the professionals that work with Capoeira Angola and Afro Dancing can be incorporated/inserted to teaching systems and programs in schools and universities on the perspective to contribute to a Multicultural Education. I consider the methodological-theoretical way of choosing it in a developing process due to the lacking of studies towards these phenomena of this nature; therefore, I have opted for the qualitative approach as a support to the procedures of the action-research, of the ethnography and of the thnomethodology to evidencing speeches,aspirations and the way the social authors organize themselves,create their methods and proceede.The studys results reveal the existence of the formation out of university linked to and built in afrobaianos cultural centers that contribute to social disadvantages or prestige/underclass peoples formation in general, therefore, the conditions for enlarging,maintaining and protecting need to be created through affirming action and public policy.Thus multicultural perspective in the education area in our context indicates possibilities to intensify relations of sharing, knowledge exchanging, tolerance and respect to our society forming civilizations knowledge considering the body expressions language forms adding to the other education languages.
